PROSPECTIVES
- Getting lead persons in all the villages of Njinkom; Njinikom center;Balikumato; Wombong Ikwi; Wombong Down; Fuanantui; Bobong; Kikfuini; kindo; Baichi; Yang; Iso and Muloin.
- Exhausting the whole of Njinikom Sub Division by end of December 2023 with complete statistics and need analysis for this pillar.
- Empowering some of the young widows to be able to provide palliative care to the clients of Pillar one.
- Get permanent and consistent motivation for volunteers.
- Provide health insurance for all the clients identified under this pillar.
- Provide clean and comfortable accommodation.
PILLAR ONE: The Old and House bound:
The Target Group is 70+, Housebound, no direct family assistance, or inadequate family assistance, no companion to converse with, no health insurance.
RSF seeks to provide basic needs and palliative care, through a volunteering system. With one notion to keep them smiling even when dying. Provide clean and comfortable accommodation having in mind an ecosystem of the very old (Pillar one) leaving together with the very young (Pillar 2) creating an atmosphere of grandmother/father, grandson/daughter relationship.
CHALLENGES
- General lack of funds
- Activities slowed down because of the war and difficulty in accessing some very remote areas. However situation is better now with an understanding at the village levels
- Means of transportation for the team to move to these villages. Motor Bikes needed.
- Need for diapers, catertars, beddings, beds, utensils etc.
- Need for office equipment
- Motivation for the volunteers to keep them going.
- Need for permanent services and para medical staff.
- Rampant loss of biodiversity, ecosystem degradation, and climate change
- An accommodation which creates an ecosystem of the Old, the young and the children
