About Us

The “Right To Smile Foundation” is a humanitarian not-for-profit organization inspired by the experience of the Founder and CEO, on the poor treatment of an old lady by her own daughter. This experience sent pondering waves into her mind, wondering what happens in cases where these old people do not even have their own children to care for them, what happens to them?

The Story

The pain in this old woman’s voice pleading for assistance from her own daughter never left her mind. She probed a little in the community and discovered there were more such cases. The idea of creating an environment where such people can leave happily until they die happily and smiling gradually started being formed. This idea is finely developed and functional in advanced countries but does not quite exist in less advanced countries.

“Right to Smile Foundation” (RSF)

The foundation is dedicated to Paul and Patricia Timchia Fultang, my parents because of the selfless assistance they gave to all who came their way, as evidenced by the many children of family and non-family descent who bare their names. Their home was a `mini maternity` for the pregnant women who could not make it to the delivery room on time.

The Ongoing War and Our Activities

The incidence of rural exodus and armed conflicts with young people being killed have aggravated the situation. A little survey was made and it was realized that 80% of people who die in the villages, die unhappy, because they feel abandoned at their ailing ages. As such the basic idea of this project, is to create a healthy environment for the very old, bedbound, and dyeing to enable them die “HAPPILY SMILING”.
